The Courier 970 is the result of cooperation between Andrzej Skrzat and Sasanka shipyard from Poland. She is a comfortable motorboat built on the round-bilge design, with a ballasted full-displacement hull and a long keel and soft chines. Her deep bilges allow the tanks to be set low in the hull, reducing the centre of gravity and making for a more comfortable ride. With the single Yanmar engine, she cruises at a steady 7-9 knots and has a great long range cruising ability. A full-length keel below protects the running gear while providing good tracking and stability.
The traditional interior, offering accommodation for 6 people, is arranged with a comfortable living area and spacious galley giving a homely ambiance. The raised aft cockpit provides generous seating for all onboard and includes a comfortable helm seat with excellent all-round visibility for long passages and full control of the boat with a remote control for the windlass and bow thruster.
This boat has been meticulously maintained and upgraded to a high specification with additional entertainment system, Status TV aerial, new heavy duty stainless steel auxilary engine bracket, variable speed window wipers and washers, 10″ Raymarine chart plotter, bow thruster, and fully automatic bilge pumps in all compartments.
